Thursday Thoughts: Walking Meetings

Posted by MarchFifteen and Edyta Pacuk & filed under Thursday Thoughts.

It’s been a while since I had my last “walk-about-coaching” session with a client. Downtown Toronto being muggy and full of construction was not the loveliest backdrop for a meeting, however, it was fantastic to engage in a conversation whilst taking a stroll.

Yes, there are significant benefits to walking meetings! Research shows that aside from improving general wellbeing, walking improves productivity and boosts positive energy levels. Fun Fact: According to Iowa State University, “The space of the outdoors increases brain function, which can help stimulate creativity, innovation and memory.”

So, get off the couch, turn off the fluorescent light in your office – go outside.

P.S. And I did my 10,000 steps in an hour!
