How to Make Work-Life Balance Work

In his 2010 TedxSyndey talk, author Nigel Marsh uses the term “corporate warrior” to describe the classic unbalanced work-life situation – one where work rules and life drools. Not surprisingly, the effects of being overworked can be tremendously negative on both body and soul. So much so, that recently German Labour Minister, Andrea Nahles, has put a ban on any work related communications after 6:00PM to combat the stark rise in psychological and stress-related health issues in burnt out German workers. But when the country you reside and work in doesn’t actively encourage a proper work-life balance, how do you take the bull by the horns? Nigel Marsh artfully and comically leads us there with some observations he has acquired along the journey of balancing his own life.
